Job Summary  The Driver will be expected to provide transportation services to GPTech staff and visiting consultants. This position will be located in Gulu, Uganda.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Abides by the GPTech Vehicle Usage Policy as well as applicable Uganda travel laws. e.g., ensure all occupants wear seat belt, practice defensive driving, stay off phone while vehicle is in motion
Drive in a safe and conscientious manner
Correctly maintain the travel and maintenance logbook for your assigned vehicle
Ensures vehicle is serviced, clean and fueled before scheduled trips
Files mechanical status reports for the vehicle
Advises the Operations Manager on license, insurance and service items
Ensure your assigned vehicle is parked in a secure location at all times
Ensure all occupants wear seat belt
Practice defensive driving
Will avoid attending to phone calls or messages while driving
 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The applicant should hold a Valid driver’s license
Three years working experience with USAID funded organizations
Must be fluent in English
Good time management skills
