About US
Kampala Capital City Authority is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament that is responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda. It replaced the Kampala City Council.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Supervising payment processing of staff claims, imprest, supplier invoices and any other claims in line with financial regulations.
Verifying the accuracy and authenticity of expenditure and payment transaction posted on the system so as to ensure accuracy.
Certifying payments in line with KCCA approved budget and Chart of accounts and ensuring correct allocation of expenses to budget lines, accounting period, transaction analysis and narrations.
Supervising reconciliation of General ledger and creditors accounts.
Responding to all queries and inquiries addressed to the section from internal and external stake holders.
Managing performance and development of staff in the unit in line with the Human Resource Management Manual.
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Commerce, or Business Administration, or Economics, or Accounting, or Finance or any other related field from a recognized University/Institution, plus a Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant field. Possession of either ACCA or CPA or ACIB or any other relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Applicants should have a minimum of five 5 years working experience in accounting three 3 of which must have been gained at Senior Officer or Supervisory level in Government or from a reputable organization.
Age 28 years and above
