EP is a developer–investor, as well as an EPC contractor. Its areas of focus include Off-grid holistic rural electrification via mini-grids; Grid-connected renewable energy projects; and Captive C&I power projects for agribusiness and industrial growth.
 
Job Summary As Operations Manager you design and supervise operations for company projects, utilizing an understanding of the productive use value chains and customer needs, whilst supporting management and continuous improving of existing sites enabling smooth running of operations and satisfied customers.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Operations Design Understanding customer and operational needs of sites, aligned with the technical team, designing operations from input to business model to policies, processes and training to enable effective roll out of sustainable customer centric operations.
Operations Analysis and Continuous Improvement Utilise feedback from field operations, data team, customers and other appropriate sources to support management and identify areas of improvement in operations to ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.
Operations Supervision supervise Operations Specialist in implementing Operations plans and strategies.
Support Corporate Operations support the COO in Design, review and implement corporate operations policies, processes and procedures
TasksDesign budgets, work plans and operations plans for sites assigned by the COO.
Supervise the acquisition of customers on new minigrid locations including marketing etc. through coordination of the Operations Specialists
Supervise site management and customer satisfaction Design Site Operations both for mini-grids and industrial park sites and coordinate the Operation Specialists in leading the field team managing operations of EP’s minigrid and industrial park sites
Customer Growth Design initiatives to enable growth of communities through the access to energy enabling a sustainable business and coordinate the Operation Specialists in implementation of the initiatives
Build Operational Processes and Systems incl. CRM and management of CRM.
Review company and project strategies to establish appropriate operational designs incl. running operational workshops.
Design, review and implement operations policies, processes and procedures incl. commercial materials where required.
Create training materials on operational policies, processes and procedures across multiple countries.
Analyze operations to support management of operations across customer, operations and liaison with technical.
Support EP with growing the community through sharing ideas and supporting innovation projects on site.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The ideal applicant must hold a Degree in Business, Economics or other relevant fields
At least seven years of experience in similar positions
Knowledge of the Energy Sector
Ability to converse with and influence senior leaders in companies
Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, listening
Ability to converse with and influence senior leaders in companies
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Able to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment
Organizational skills including prioritizing, time management, and meeting deadlines
Willingness to travel
