Job Summary CrossBoundary is recruiting a full-time Associate. We are seeking candidates with experience working in underserved markets, contacts across the region’s financial services sector, and a thorough understanding of the investment landscape.
CrossBoundary is an investment firm. As an Associate, you will be tasked with evaluating investment opportunities, conducting macroeconomic markets assessments, and providing transaction support to both investors and capital seekers. Associate candidates should have 3-5 years of experience working in high-caliber finance or consulting organizations and experience working in developing countries. Experience working in the region applied for will be regarded favorably.

Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Company identification and evaluation
Identify and rigorously assess investment opportunities
Market assessment and ongoing market analysis
Conduct macroeconomic, regulatory, and operational assessments
Provide sector analysis of priority areas for investment
Investor qualification and relations
Assist in identifying qualified investors
Manage numerous investor relationships
Transaction support
Assist, and often lead a team in supporting complex transactions


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Required skills and qualifications
3+ years of experience in top tier banking, consulting, private equity, or similar
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong quantitative skills and finance background; familiarity with company evaluation and valuation
Excellent analytical ability and discipline; ability to think clearly, structure problems logically, and then design and implement solutions that focus on the core issues
Excellent presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences
Strong sense of ownership and ability to lead projects and support and mentor more junior colleagues
Familiarity and comfort with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
 
Desired
5+ years of experience in top tier banking, consulting, private equity, or similar
MBA or other advanced degrees will be regarded favorably
Familiarity with company fundraise process, including investor due diligence processes
Ability to build strong relationships with partners and colleagues in challenging environments
Experience working with a range of stakeholders including private equity firms, Impact investors, Family offices, Development Finance Institutions, and development agencies to support investments in high impact sectors
Experience working in developing countries; experience in the region applied for is particularly relevant
Willingness to work and live in a sometimes-challenging environment, and travel when needed
