Job Summary  The Local Accounts Payable is in charge of the management of accounts payable documentation and processing to ensure accuracy. Officer is responsible to ensure company procedures and supplier’s terms are adhered to.  Successful candidates must have 10 or more years of relevant experience and recognized expertise in large international onshore/offshore oil and gas projects with at least 5 years of supervisory experience. The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors. Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Copying, filing and archiving to McDermott reporting standards as required.
Undertake accurate and efficient high-volume data entry of PO and Non PO invoices.
Processing 2 way and 3 way match POs and liaise with the procurement team as required.
Match invoices with e-Tax invoices, maintain and store the e-tax invoices and assist with Uganda VAT audits as required.
Ensure all 2 way match/ Service invoices are appropriately approved in compliance with approvals matrix.
Provide customer service support and liase with company suppliers on account queries.
Monthly supplier statement reconciliations and follow up invoices not received.
Provide backup to Concur Administrator in expense claim system as required.
Receipt of invoices through TAP scanned system and forwarding as per McDermott Authority Matrix.
Entry of Automated Recurring Voucher entry leases and Facility invoices
Responsible for reconciliation of 2033 Account Goods Received Not Invoiced and general accounting duties including processing of standing journals as required
Provide assistance & support to other project team members as required
Actively participate in McDermott’s Value Awareness Program. Encourage all employees to participate
Ensure that you are working in a safe work environment.
Ensure that the National Content Plan is followed by all parties McDermott and Subcontractors.
Managing the training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures are included.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Five years of experience in an accounts payable function is required.
Detailed knowledge & experience with Uganda VAT requirements and compliance
Cert IV in Book keeping or equivalent is desirable together with related clerical skills and customer service skills.
Experience working with JDE or other major ERP system is desirable
