About US
Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited UEGCL is a Public Limited Liability Company incorporated in March 2001 under the Companies Act Cap 1 10, the Laws of Uganda and in conformity with the Electricity Act, 1999. UEGCL started operation on 1 st April 2001 and is wholly owned by the Government of the Republic of Uganda, with the head office located in Kampala. The mandate of UEGCL is to establish, acquire, maintain and operate electricity generation facilities as well as promote Research and Development in the Electricity generation sector while running the company on sound business principals.
Job Summary The Weighbridge Attendant will ensure that the fuel supplied complies with the right documented Quantity, ensures that the Tamper Evidence Straps are in place and intact.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Record all tracks that offload fuel including their number plates and Tamper Evidence Strap Serial Numbers.
Ensures that the daily offloaded fuel is recorded in the inventory data sheets for easy tracking.
Record the accurate weights of the fuel tracks before and after offloading.
Ensure the safety of plant property and people during the weighing process of the trucks.
Guide the truck drivers on the routes to use within the plants.
Ensure that the Tamper Evidence Strap seal is in place on every storage tank chamber of the fuel transportation vehicle.
Ensure a sizable number of fuel trucks into the plant to minimise traffic within the plant.
Work with the HFO technician and Quality Control Officer to ensure that all the fuel offloaded is of quality.
Adhere to safety procedures and keeping of efficient clean and safe work environment
Perform daily checks on weighing equipment and report malfunctions to the maintenance teams for intervention.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate for the Weighbridge Attendant should hold a Certificate of Electrical or Electronic engineering, IT and computing, Business administration or related field.
At least two years of experience in a similar or related field.
Industrial/Pupilage Engineering training in a related field
Ability to work under stress and be on call at any time.
Good leadership and communication skills.
Good housekeeping skills.
Ability to work in a team.
Good computer skills in related software application
