About US
Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited UEGCL is a Public Limited Liability Company incorporated in March 2001 under the Companies Act Cap 1 10, the Laws of Uganda and in conformity with the Electricity Act, 1999. UEGCL started operation on 1 st April 2001 and is wholly owned by the Government of the Republic of Uganda, with the head office located in Kampala. The mandate of UEGCL is to establish, acquire, maintain and operate electricity generation facilities as well as promote Research and Development in the Electricity generation sector while running the company on sound business principals.
 
Job Summary  The Stores Attendant will organize and code tools and spares inventory and documentation for easy retrieval as of when in need and for proper management.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Label and record all spares and other inventory in accordance to agreed standards and procedures under the supervision of the stores officer.
Keep, correct and maintain an updated tools inventory.
Ensure clean tools and equipment in the tools stores at all times.
Submit monthly and quarterly tools lists to the stores supervisor.
Request for replenishing of tools as and of when in need by the user party, broken or out of use.
Ensure a clean and organised mechanical workshop at all times.
Receive requisitions from user departments and issue stores materials on the instruction of the stores officer.
Maintain a register of stock balances on a daily basis for the requisitioned items.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate must hold a Diploma in library and information science, Records and Archives Management, business Administration or Engineering with relevant/related skills and experience.
Training in stores management and materials control is an added advantage
At least three years of experience in a related field
Knowledge in HFO stores functionality is an added advantage.
Computer literacy in different programs Excel, Microsoft Word.
Organisational and interpersonal Communication Skills.
