Job Summary ⇒ The Procurement & Logistics Officer is responsible for
managing supply chain processes for the field location. He/she will be
engaged in the day-to-day procurement process and reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Support supplier registration and filing of all procurement -related
documentation.
⇗ Collect and update data entry of procurement related tasks and ensure all
details are up to date at all times.
⇗ Support and follow up with suppliers and finance department to ensure
timely payment of suppliers on a weekly basis
⇗ Track outstanding payments to suppliers and update suppliers accordingly
where necessary.
⇗ Consolidate monthly procurement reports and submit it to Area Manager and
key staff by every 5th of each month.
⇗ Document and file all procurement -related undertakings in accordance with
FCA’s Procurement Manual and Archiving policy.
⇗ Provide support in managing Inventory & Stock Management and ensure rules
and regulations are followed.
⇗ Update and share the procurement tracking system on a regular basis.
⇗ Maintaining and updating approved vendor database.
⇗ Any other duty assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The applicant for the Finn Church Aid FCA Procurement & Logistics Officer
job placement must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply chain/Procurement and
Logistics Management from a recognized institution and additional
qualifications in CIPS will be an added advantage.
⇗ A minimum of two years of relevant experience from a reputable NGO or
institution.
⇗ Previous experience with a humanitarian organization will be an added
advantage
⇗ High integrity, pro-active, stable, robust character and a good team-player
⇗ Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
⇗ Proven commitment to accountability practices.
⇗ Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work with limited
supervision
⇗ Excellent knowledge in Computer skills.
⇗ Good management, communication, teamwork, capacity building and report
writing
⇗ Ability to work independently when necessary, set realistic goals, and work
within agreed timelines
