society organization and resource centre that promotes the right to
information ATI and open contracting OC in Africa. With 41 members in 21
African countries, AFIC is the largest and leading organization promoting the
right to information and open contracting in Africa.
Job Summary ⇒ Reporting to the Executive Director, the overall purpose of
the Senior Programme Officer is to coordinate fundraising as well as the
design and implementation of AFIC’s programmes on right to information, open
contracting, social accountability and membership development.
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Coordinate the implementation and reporting on AFIC’s programmes on right to information and open contracting across Africa
⇗ Support and advise AFIC members on their programmes relating to right to information, social accountability, open contracting
⇗ In collaboration with advocacy coordinator and programme staff, promote the documentation and sharing of knowledge with AFIC stakeholders on AFIC’s work
⇗ Support and supervise AFIC programme staff
⇗ Any other tasks assigned by AFIC’s Executive Director
Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ At least five years of experience in transparency and accountability programming, network building and coordination and capacity building.
⇗ Knowledge of public contracting is an added advantage.
