Job Summary ⇒ The Officer, IT Infrastructure will mainly install,
configure, support & maintain all servers and systems for all environments
including Core Banking, Production & Branch, DR, UAT, Sandpit & Training. The
incumbent will nsure availability & optimum performance of all server
technologies including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Active Directory, Microsoft
Office 365, VMware ESX, Infoblox. The Officer will also ensure environmental
monitoring, reporting, compliance to audit & SLA

Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
Accountable for Linux & Windows Server Environment. This encompasses

⇗ Blade server technology, Rack mountable servers and RedHat Enterprise Linux
server operations for production, DR, UAT, Sandpit & Training
⇗ Systems installations, maintenance & BAU operations for all environments.
⇗ Microsoft Active Directory server installations, monitoring, maintenance &
BAU operations for all environments.
⇗ Microsoft Office 365, monitoring, maintenance & BAU operations for all
environments.
⇗ Office 365 complete Deployment, maintenance and support.
⇗ VMware Esx host & Virtual centre server installations, monitoring,
maintenance & BAU operations for all environments.
⇗ Infoblox grid manager for IPAM, DHCP & DNS
⇗ Branch Server installations, configuration, maintenance, availability, BAU
management & operations.
⇗ Server environment audit compliance in line with the standard operation
models.
⇗ BAU activity & operations handled with in agreed SLA
⇗ Implement Change with minimum Business disruptions
⇗ Datacentre server installations, maintenance & BAU operations for all
environments
⇗ Management, migration and administration of workloads in Azure and AWS
clouds
⇗ Implement, configure and maintain Infrastructure management tools
⇗ Responsible for the development of and continual improvement of automation
and procedures
⇗ Develop, Implement and maintain monitoring tools, monitor system
performance and recommend corrective action.
⇗ Perform Housekeeping activities on all mentioned environments as per
runbook
⇗ Deployment and operation of the infrastructure environment spanning data
centres, mainframe, open systems and distributed environments. In addition to
this, systems management, capacity management, monitoring services and
disaster recovery functions are also provided.

⇗ Meet contracted Service Levels
⇗ Implement Change with minimum Business disruption
⇗ Ensure DR capability is fit for purpose Design principles
⇗ Server availability

Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The ideal candidate for the Stanbic Bank Officer, IT Infrastructure
employment opportunity must be a University graduate with a degree in
Business, IT , Engineering or a related subject. MCSE or equivalent
⇗ Extensive technical knowledge of information technology infrastructure.
⇗ knowledge & experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux operations &
administration
⇗ Knowledge & experience storage operations and administration.
⇗ Advanced knowledge & experience in VMware ESX Server operations
⇗ Extensive knowledge & experience in Microsoft Active Directory & wintel
Server Administration
⇗ Advanced knowledge & experience in Microsoft Exchange & ISA Server
operations
⇗ Extensive knowledge & experience in Infoblox grid Server operations
⇗ Extensive knowledge & experience in Windows 10 administration
⇗ Advanced knowledge of best practice methodologies pertaining to IT service
operations utilised in the banking vertical and in the IT industry
⇗ Ability to translate technology detail into business language and vice
versa to business executives
⇗ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
⇗ Advanced business writing and reporting skills.
⇗ Knowledge of DevOps, agile development, and cloud operations support
processes
⇗ Process management
⇗ Including knowledge of ITIL processes including change, incident and
problem management.
⇗ Including knowledge of standard business processes including work
prioritization, best practices.
⇗ Knowledge of domestic and international banking industry
⇗ Including knowledge of the Bank’s business, products, key clients, business
strategy and strategic issues
⇗ Including knowledge of regulatory requirements of home markets
⇗ Extensive technical, operational, risk, business in complex technology
server environments at least 3 years’ experience in active core environment
support
⇗ Good understanding of the current state and strategic direction of IT
Infrastructure.
⇗ Strong understanding of the business climate and technology needs in the
global enterprise.
⇗ Negotiation experience, particularly across the geographies and cultures of
a global organisation.
⇗ Experience in dealing with group IT support.
⇗ Experience in vendor management
