Makerere University, Kampala is Uganda's largest and oldest institution of
higher learning, first established as a technical school in 1922. It became an

Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Issue Library materials to Users
⇗ Shelve reading materials
⇗ Keep library materials clean and tidy
⇗ Vet Library Users
⇗ Provide security of the Library resources and User bags
⇗ Maintain statistics of usage of Library resources.
⇗ And any other official duties as assigned by the line supervisor from time
to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The applicant must hold a Certificate in Library and Information Science
from a recognized institution.
⇗ At least two years of experience in a recognized library.
⇗ Must be computer Literate
⇗ Should have good communication and interpersonal skills
⇗ Be a person of high integrity
⇗ Age Below 40 years
