d Print an Extract of PS Form 3 2008 and obtain recommendation from the
Responsible Officer. Scan the recommendation together with the rest of the
documents and submit online.

Minimum Qualification

Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Botany; or Zoology with an option in Entomology from a recognized University/ Institution. A Post Graduate qualification in any of the above fields will be an added advantage.
Working Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of three 3 years relevant working experience in the field of Productive Entomology at Officer Level in Government or from a reputable organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Entomologist, Apiculture
for performing the following duties-



‣ Promoting and supporting production of beehive products as income
generating activities for agricultural rural communities;

‣ Establishing and maintaining a reliable apiculture data base;

‣ Providing technical guidance on apiculture production to Local Government
extension staff;

‣ Encouraging and supporting formation of bee farmer groups and assisting
private associations for apiculture expansion;

‣ Liaising with National Agricultural Research Organization to undertake
development and supportive research in the apiculture industry;

‣ Preparing workplans, budgets and reports and submitting them to the
Supervisor;

‣ Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
