c Each attachment must not exceed a limit of 1MB and only portable documents
format PDF is allowed.

d Print an Extract of PS Form 3 2008 and obtain recommendation from the
Responsible Officer. Scan the recommendation together with the rest of the
documents and submit online.

Minimum Qualification

Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries; or Zoology; or Aquatic Biology from a recognized University or Institution plus a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in any of the above fields from a recognized University/ Institution.
Working Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of three 3 years relevant working experience in the field of Fisheries Management and Development at Fisheries Officer level in Government or from a reputable organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Fisheries Inspector for
performing the following duties-



‣ Receiving, compiling, maintaining and keeping safe custody of lists
licensing applicants;

‣ Studying, reviewing and vetting applicants for licensing;

‣ Maintaining a register of approved applicants and licensed persons;

‣ Training Local Government staff on e-licensing procedures;

‣ Developing, submitting and implementing strategies, guidelines and
workplans for the Licensing Division;

‣ Providing technical advice, guidance and support supervision on inspection
of fisheries resources;

‣ Conducting compliance checks so as to boost adherence to licensing
regulations and guidelines; for fisheries resources management;

‣ Compiling and submitting status reports about licensing to the Supervisor;

‣ Preparing and submitting licenses to the authorised Licensing Officer for
signature and issuance to owners;

‣ Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
