Minimum Qualification

Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture; Crop Science plus a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in any of the above fields from a recognized University/ Institution.
Working Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of three 3 years relevant working experience in the field of Agriculture or Crop Science at Agricultural Inspector level in Government or from a reputable organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Agricultural Officer,
Agrochemical Inspection for performing the following duties-



‣ Inspecting establishments where agricultural service products such as
fertilizers, and pesticides are manufactured, sold or used to make sure of
conformance to laws regulating product quality labelling;

‣ Inspecting premises, firms and businesses dealing with pesticides products
and ensuring quality of pesticide premises;

‣ Coordinating and monitoring safe use and disposal of pesticides waste;

‣ Disseminating information on pesticides to stakeholders and the general
public;

‣ Organizing workshops for dealers on pesticides and pest control operators;

‣ Developing technical training and disposal guidelines and standards;

‣ Preparing and disseminating topical pesticide information in the media;

‣ Inspecting product label information concerning ingredients and claims for
conformance to chemical analysis of ingredients documented effects of use;

‣ Undertaking inspection of premises for suitability;

‣ Undertaking certification of pesticides through the supply chain from
manufacture to user;

‣ Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
