About US ⇒
ACORD-U Agency for Cooperation in Research and Development – Uganda is an
indigenous Non Governmental Organization NGO working for social justice and
development. ACORD has been working in Uganda since 1979 with operations in
over 25 districts across Uganda. The ACORD-U works in conjunction with people
who have been denied their basic rights, helping to better understand, to
challenge, and to change the situation in which they find themselves.

About USAID ICYD Project
The Agency for Cooperation in Research and Development-Uganda ACORD-U,
received grants from USAID, to implement the “Integrated Children and Youth
Development ICYD Activity” in Central and Western Uganda Mityana, Gomba,
Luwero, Kyenjojo and Kakumiro Districts
Job Summary ⇒ The Finance Officer will support day to day financial
operations ensuring financial accountability, reporting, budgeting monitoring
and analysis, and financial documentation while following ACORD financial
policies and procedures. This position will be based at the ACORD Country
Office – Kampala, and reports to the Finance Manager – ICYD Project.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The ideal candidate must hold a first degree in B.Com /BBA with a bias in
finance/ accounting or other related disciplines. Level II stage of
Professional Course ACCA or CPA
⇗ At least three years’ experience working in a related position.
⇗ Demonstrable knowledge of donor fund management
