Job Summary ⇒ The Data Capture Clerk will mainly capture maintenance data
for Brewing & E&F into COSWIN to achieve optimal reporting capability. The
incumbent will perform Engineering data capturing and administrative duties
for Brewing and E&F or management team which could also include SOP / SWI
write-ups, typing, filing, photocopying and disseminating of information,
ordering, etc.
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
Health, Safety and Environment
⇗ Comply with safe, health and environmental procedures and legislation.
⇗ Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
⇗ Identification of unsafe practices through SIO’s.
⇗ Safety inspections conducted.
⇗ Adherence to PPE policies.
Capture data
⇗ Receive job cards from Engineering Planner or Artisans
⇗ Capture the information on the job cards into the system.
⇗ Run reports on maintenance performance.
Maintenance Planning
⇗ Assist planner with the planning of maintenance priorities.
⇗ Run the job-cards from the system
⇗ Capture ad-hoc requests into the system and run schedules.
⇗ Issue the schedules to the engineering controllers for maintenance days.
⇗ Collection of schedules after maintenance day and capture and closure of
all maintenance schedules.
Downtime trending
⇗ Generation and dissemination of Department Engineering performance
indicators.
Work in Teams
⇗ Communicate effectively in teams.
⇗ Contribute to self and team development
Apply knowledge & skills of VPO.
⇗ Demonstrate high energy, balanced personality self-discipline and drive,
conceptualizing and innovative thinking, goal oriented and a strong output
bias.
⇗ Have a proactive mindset & ability to communicate verbal and written.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The applicant for the Nile Breweries Data Capture Clerk job must hold a
National Diploma in Engineering Mechanical/Electrical
⇗ Knowledge of VPO strategies and initiatives; Self starter
⇗ Good knowledge of E&F & Brewing production processes and technologies
⇗ Familiarity with maintenance systems eg. COSWIN or SAP-PM and SAP-MM
⇗ Computer knowledge
