Dwaniro Dairy & Livestock Farmers Co-Operative Society Ltd is a cooperative
society based in Kiboga.
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Maintenance of Proper Books of Account as defined by the Laws and
regulations of Uganda, the Cooperative Statute and the Cooperative Society’s
own policies and procedures. Proper books should enable the preparation of
relevant, reliable, consistent and comparable information to assist it in
assessing the financial position and performance of the Cooperative Society
and to make accurate and timely economic decisions and comply with all the
relevant Regulations and Guidelines.
⇗ Preparing reliable timely, correct and complete financial reports
⇗ Budgeting and budgetary control; preparing short-, medium- and long-term
budgets in line with the Cooperative Society’s approved plans, monitoring
budget performance and reporting.
⇗ Communicating between the Manager, the Accounts Staff, the auditors and
other superiors on the Cooperative Society’s financial and operational
affairs.
⇗ Managing the Cooperative Society’s Fixed Assets; maintaining a
comprehensive Fixed Assets Register; identify fixed asset needs and carrying
out semi-annual physical asset counts of all assets.
⇗ Planning/designing monthly activity plans, performing monthly budget
variance reviews as well as preparing operational and strategic plans.
⇗ Ensuring that all advances are properly documented, posted, monitored and
that they are accurately and correctly accounted for.
⇗ Ensuring that the Cooperative Society gets value for money and keeps proper
procurement records.
⇗ Maintaining security and internal controls including guarding all DDLFCSL
records and systems hard and soft copies from unauthorized people by
employing appropriate controls which may include, reviewing and validating all
postings, reports, access controls etc.
⇗ General supervision of the Cashier and all staffs in the Finance /Accounts
department.
⇗ Ensure customer care and public relations.
⇗ Performing any other duties that may be delegated from time to time by the
Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
Majoring in accounting and finance / Commerce majoring in accounting from a
recognized University.
⇗ Professional qualification like ACCA or CPA at least stage 1.
⇗ At least two years of related work experience
⇗ Readiness to work in the field
