About US ⇒
The National Animal Genetic Resources Centre and Data Bank NAGRC&DB was
established by the Animal Breeding Act, 2001. It is one of the statutory semi-
autonomous bodies of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and
Fisheries MAAIF. Formation of NAGRC &DB was part of the fulfilment of the
aspirations in the National Animal Breeding Policy 1997, document and the
Action Plan for its implementation providing guidelines to all actors in the
animal breeding and production value-chain. The actors included input
suppliers, farmers, companies, researchers, extension workers and civic
leaders on suitable breeds for the various ecological and production systems.
Job Summary ⇒ The Assistant Auditor will assist in conducting routine
internal audit engagements in accordance with laid regulations and guidelines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Assists in examining the correctness of financial records and completeness
of documentation;
⇗ Verifying receipts, matches and undertakes on-line reconciliation of
invoices and local purchase orders for goods and services procured prior to
effecting payment;
⇗ Reviewing the completion of accountability returns, verifies and retires
advance ledgers, Reviewing periodic bank reconciliations;
⇗ Verifying payroll change requests and reports to ensure correctness of
computations, payments and deductions;
⇗ Certifies and follows-up approval and payment to beneficiaries and
⇗ Undertakes any other official duties as may be assigned by the immediate
Supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The applicant must hold a Diploma in Business Administration or Commerce
with a bias in accounting obtained from a recognized awarding institution
⇗ A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Commerce with a bias in
Accounting is an added advantage.
⇗ At least three years of working experience as an Accounts Assistant or
Audit Assistant in Government or equivalent level of experience in accounting
or internal audit work from a reputable organization.
⇗ Age Limit: 25-45 years
