Jolems Investment Limited is a manufacturer of foods and plastics products. It was  established  in  the  City  of  Kampala  in  2019  to  establish, acquire, manage office, training stations, factories, shops and depots among which include production of toothbrush, biscuits, and cookies.
 
Job Summary  The Assistant Warehouse Controller will assist the Ware House Controller to take proper care and maintenance of stock including, receiving, storing, issuing and managing inventory.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Correct balancing of stock and timely stock taking.
Recording of materials received from Warehouse House Controller.
The Assistant Ware House Controller will also ensure proper storage of equipment and material in storage and ensure that any damages are reported on time.
Receive goods/supplies into the stores and ensure that the goods received are in line with the LPO, supplier’s Delivery Note and/or any other accompanying documentation.
Coordinate secondary packaging at the warehouse and ensure that inventory is received-racked-issued-transferred and managed under the most appropriate storage conditions.
Categorize goods/supplies neatly on to their respective racks and warehouse and ensure all positioning matches with the system reflection one-item-one-location.
Daily inspection of all stock in the Plastics warehouse to allow for appropriate categorization as either damaged, slow moving and/or as may be applicable.
Sort, pre-pack and label requested goods before dispatch.
Ensure that stock levels are maintained at appropriate levels.
Keep stock safe and secure.
Maintain an up to date receipt and issue records.
Advise the Ware House Controller on procurement requirements.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate must hold a Diploma or a Certificate in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Inventory and store management or related field.
One year of working experience in a busy manufacturing environment is required.
