About US
Kampala Capital City Authority is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament that is responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda. It replaced the Kampala City Council.
Key Duties and Responsibilities The incumbent will be responsible to the Supervisor Networks and Support for performing the following duties-
Performing data backup and recovery plans as specified by the supervisor in charge
Monitoring and networking performance of services and ensuring that they meet the baseline
Reviewing logs and troubleshooting related system and network problems
Liaising with network users and stakeholders and providing full support
Maintain a high-end ICT environment for clients and support their relative needs to meet KCCA ICT strategic needs.
Performing routine network start-up and shutdown procedures
Training system users
Providing second level support.
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The applicants for the Kampala Capital City Authority KCCA Officer Systems Administration jobs should be Ugandans holding Honours Bachelor’s Degrees in either Computer Science or Information Technology or Information Systems or Computer Engineering or any other related field from a recognized University or Institution of higher learning. A Postgraduate Diploma in either computer science or computer engineering or its equivalent and Professional certification in either Microsoft Certified Software Engineer MCSE or Cisco Certified Network Associate CCNA or HP A-Series Networking Engineer will be an added advantage.
Applicants should have a minimum of two 2 years of working experience at Assistant Officer or Officer level, working with Network System Administration in a large corporate environment.
