On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Senior Project Manager-Power Site Consolidation to work in the project sites in Uganda.
 
Job summary The Senior Capital Project Manager is responsible for company Uganda’s new Site and Power Consolidation project. The incumbent will be responsible for both Commercial management and Project implementation management. Primary responsibilities include Financial Modelling, Business Impact Approval, Customer Liaison. The Project Manager will also be responsible for Develop and Rollout Site Feasibility
 
Criteria, CAPEX Requirements, OPEX Impact, Scoping and BoQs compilation, Equipment Re-Use Plan Implementation Project Mgt, Project Closure, Asset Database update, Site Decommissioning.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Commercial Project Management Scope
Site Consolidation Candidate List Generation
Compile and consolidate from all stakeholders Commercial, Technical, Asset Management, etc. a Site Consolidation Candidates List
Coordinate Business Modelling for the Candidate Sites to evaluate ROI and IRR Scenario Testing & Analysis and establish if it meets both the company Internal Business hurdles as well as the impacted Customers expectations.
Coordinate the compilation of Financial Impact Analysis – to determine Financial Value addition
Long-Term and Short-Term impact to the company Business and to the affected Customers
Present to the company Senior Mgt, the above Business Analysis Results and Impact to affected Customers, for alignment and approval to go to the next stage of preparing formal Customer.
Offers and later into Project Implementation Phase for the approved Sites.
Prepare and present the approved Customer offers for Incentivized decommissioning after analysis based on the company Internal Business hurdles.
the company -Customer Liaison – Coordinate as a Liaison between the company and the affected Customers with objective of securing buy-in from both sides by way of illustrating the benefits to the respective party.
Coordinate with Finance to ensure the affected Sites are Billed according to the new agreed Rates Non-Energy and Energy Rates going forward.
Technical Project Management Implementation Scope
Develop obtain sign-off to a Site Feasibility Criteria, based on Technical Feasibility from a Tower Structure Integrity and Leased Space perspective Engineering Input and Power Dimensioning and Configuration perspective PaaS Team
Carryout actual Technical Feasibility from a Tower Structure Integrity and Leased Space perspective Engineering Input, Power Dimensioning and Configuration perspective PaaS Team and impact to affected Sites Leases.
Compile and consolidate AUTOCAD design and finalise proposed concept – Existing vs Proposed.
Coordinate the CAPEX Requirements and OPEX Impact on a site-per-site basis, as input into the Business Financial Modelling to establish what meets both the company Internal Business hurdles as well as the impacted Customer expectations.
Coordinate the Scoping and collection of BoQs from potential Vendors.
Coordinate and implement a viable Re-Use Plan for any Decommissioned Equipment Projects and/or O&M
Coordination and processing of all Internal Approvals Motivation, CAPEX Approval, PRF, PR, etc. leading to issuance of POs to the approved Vendors for the various scopes for the approved Sites and/or Power Consolidation.
Project Manage the Implementation Vendors from start-to-end including Site handing over Acceptance of the Consolidated Works to the Operations Team and Decommissioning of any redundant equipment.
Coordinate capturing and recording of all Asset Movements and have the final positions updated in the relevant Site Databases and Financial Records impacting the company Balance Sheet.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
College degree in business, planning, engineering, construction management or equivalent work experience in the wireless site development industry.
Minimum 10 years of work experience in the wireless site development industry.
Demonstrated expertise in managing wireless site development professionals through prior experience in network deployment projects, site acquisition or construction management responsibilities.
Strong working knowledge of tower development regulations and industry practices.
Established relationships with wireless carriers and site development professionals.
Site acquisition, zoning and permitting skills.
Financial analysis and budgeting skills.
Formal project management training and skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to create forms, letters and fundamental spreadsheets using MS Word and Excel.
Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
