About US
Kampala Capital City Authority is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament that is responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda. It replaced the Kampala City Council.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities The incumbent will be responsible to the Manager Commercial Services for performing the following duties-
Monitoring compliance of markets with the Authority regulations and Budget parameters in line with the Authority’s market operations guidelines.
Setting benchmarks and evaluating market performance in line with the Authority’s policies and business objectives.
Coordinating markets development projects and maintaining the markets in line with the Authority standards.
Reviewing market operations policies, procedures and organizational work processes, and recommend appropriate interventions in line with the Authority.
Monitoring risk factor and putting in place frameworks to mitigate risk in the market operations in line with risk management dashboard and Authority’s policies.
Developing, and reviewing the annual market operations business plans, set benchmarks for the implementation of planned projects, evaluating the performance of the plan and generating reports to management as required.
Managing expectations of market vendors and highlight the Authority’s market business expectations in line with market operations guidelines.
Managing the performance and development of immediate supervisees.
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The applicants for the Kampala Capital City Authority KCCA Supervisor Market Development jobs should be Ugandans holding Honours Bachelor’s Degrees in either Development Studies, or Arts, or Social Sciences, or Social work and Social Administration or any related field from a recognized University plus a minimum of a Postgraduate Diploma in either Development Studies, or Arts, or Social Sciences, or Social work and Social Administration, or any related field from a recognized University or Institution.
Applicants should have a minimum of five 5 years’ working experience in community development work and market management three 3 of which must have been gained at Senior Officer or Supervisory level in Government or from a reputable organization
Age Above 28 years
