Job Summary  As a member of the DINU project team, you will monitor and report on all project activities in support of Catholic Relief Services’ CRS work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities 
Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
Ensure strong coordination on the nutrition component of the program and timely planning, submission of nutrition procurement plans for the whole consortium and ensure strong accountability for the distribution of the procured nutrition aids for the program.
Spearhead good coordination and planning to support the continuous roll out of nutrition and health trainings among the target program beneficiaries and coordinate the smooth running of Integrated Health outreaches across the five CRS-DINU districts.
Coordinate timely and efficiently with the other livelihoods officer to ensure all the districts of program implementation are updated on the progress of the program by ensuring all district respective office files have updated program reports.
Monitor and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules.
Work with district partners to ensure full involvement in the achievement of the project goals, through meaning full interactions and planning, and other stakeholder engagements like district coordination meetings and joint monitoring visits to inform decision making for effective project implementation.
Support and monitor capacity building and technical support activities in line with the project objectives.
Complete project documentation for assigned activities. Assist with identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices.
Ensure online approvals are done accurately, and timely both in the finance and online Data entry system as and when submitted by the field Assistants.
Provision of an effective supervisory role and capacity building of all field assistants.
Ensure proper planning for all project activities as indicated in the workplan, and all logistical and administrative arrangements for project activities are done on time.
Ensure timely report writing for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and Workplan development and this includes supporting DINU Field Assistants to collect, analyze, and use data per specified mechanisms and tools.
Ensure availability/development of approved full content training modules/manuals with special attention on the context and application to real life situation.
Ensure procurements for other goods and services/materials required to run the project are initiated and done on time as per the Master CARE DINU Consortium Workplan.
Strengthen relationships with community and district leadership ensuring effective and timely communication, sharing project implementation status reports regularly


Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree required in Human Nutrition or Agriculture
Experience implementing Nutrition and Livelihoods design and implementation of interventions required. Preferably in the Karamoja area.
Minimum of 4 years of work experience in Nutrition Livelihoods based program design and implementation.
Experience organizing and facilitating meetings and workshops with diverse stakeholders, including government, and civil society.
Experience in preparing project documentation, monitoring projects, and collecting relevant data preferred.
Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Professional proficiency in spoken and written English required
High level of professional ethics with commitment to accountability, transparency, and financial stewardship.
Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills with ability to make sound judgment.
Strong relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with culturally diverse groups.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to write reports
Proactive, results-oriented, and service-oriented
Ability to ride a motorbike with valid riding permit
