About US ⇒
Uganda Post Limited, trading as Posta Uganda. UPL is the most extensive
provider of postal services in Uganda, having an extensive network of postal
delivery outlets down to sub-county level.
Job Summary ⇒ The Driver will ensure that domestic and international mails
are delivered and collected from designated destinations as well as maintain
the company vehicle in good condition .
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Drive company vehicles to the assigned destinations in line with company
policies and guidelines.
⇗ Pick and deliver all domestic and international mails to customers in the
required time period as shall be advised by the supervisor.
⇗ Ensure effective and efcient regular vehicle maintenance and servicing.
⇗ Ensure safety of the vehicle while on duty and report any faults or defects
promptly.
⇗ Ensure vehicle license and third party are valid and report renewals early
enough.
⇗ Maintain basic records regarding the vehicle for mileage and fuel
accountability.
⇗ Ensure proper maintenance of the vehicle by keeping it clean and serviced
in time.
⇗ Transport Posta Uganda staff as and when required and maintains log book
for journeys undertaken. Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time
by your immediate supervisor/manager.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ General Education
⇗ Possession of a clean valid driver’s permit/ license of classes A, B, CM,
CH is a must
⇗ At least four 04 years of relevant experience in a reputable
organization.
⇗ Knowledge of motor Mechanics and vehicle maintenance skills is an added
advantage.
⇗ Knowledge of the government road trafc rules and regulations..
⇗ Time management
⇗ Interpersonal skills
⇗ Communication skills
⇗ Flexible, trustworthy team player
