About US ⇒
The Danish Refugee Council DRC is a private, independent, humanitarian
organization working on all aspects of the refugee cause in more than 36
countries throughout the world. The aim of DRC is to protect refugees and
internally displaced persons IDPs against persecution and to promote durable
solutions to the problems of forced migration, on the basis of humanitarian
principles and human rights. DRC works in accordance with the UN Conventions
on Refugees and the Code of Conduct for the ICRC and NGOs in Disaster Relief.
Job Summary ⇒ The Communications Assistant will be responsible for
communication materials related to cash assistance implemented by the Uganda
Cash Consortium funded by ECHO. The assistant will be a member of the Project
Management Unit supervising all consortium partners DRC, LWF, URCS. They will
produce materials for DRC and the PMU and verify materials produced by LWF and
URCS.
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Publish the materials on DRC websites and social media
⇗ Advise and inspire the partners in the field of the communication materials
⇗ Preparing audiovisual material for the projects, communication campaigns, and events related to the ECHO grant
⇗ Coordinating with external media
⇗ Bringing new ideas to the PMU Unit and DRC Uganda
⇗ The applicant for the Danish Refugee Council DRC Communications Assistant job opportunity should hold a Diploma or BA degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, or Arts
⇗ Diligence in completing tasks
⇗ Excellent English writing skills
⇗ Creative and proactive
