Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Support to the Geoscience Manager in undertaking Geoinformation related
projects to the highest standards.
⇗ Guarantee the consistency and integration of information drawn from the
data in geoscience studies.
⇗ Ensure the sustainability of know-how through training / mentoring of
juniors and through communication.
⇗ Implement the Geoinformation métier rules and HSE procedures.
⇗ Propose and write management and data flow rules and procedures, by
coordinating the actions of the various stakeholders.
⇗ Design operational procedures, prepare, supervise and validate operations
and processing in order to obtain quality data that will allow the assessment
and development of the fields in the subsidiary.
⇗ Prepare, negotiate and select calls for tenders by involving the
headquarters entities and subsidiaries concerned.
⇗ Validate metier data and guarantee the reliability of interpretations.
⇗ Produce statistics and reports on the activity and optimize the budget
allocated for the operations.
⇗ Select and control contracted services quality / costs.
⇗ Design and validate new evaluation methods.
⇗ Ensure the dissemination of techniques and training through mentoring.
⇗ Maintain and guarantee regional knowledge.
⇗ Ensure the representation of the GeoInformation business with the other
entities of the subsidiary, partners and government authorities.
⇗ Develop methodologies and tools depending on the subsidiary's questions.
⇗ Manage the Geoinformation staff supervision, evaluation, training, Know-
How
⇗ Choose the appropriate IT resources, define the tools and software and
check the optimal use of the tools made available.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ The ideal candidate for the TOTAL Head of Geoinformation job placement must
hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Geo science discipline or
equivalent experience
⇗ Minimum 15 years’ experience in the Geosciences & Geoinformation domain
with at least 5 years’ experience managing a technical team. Good knowledge in
geosciences, databases, data models and IT systems
