About USAID Project
EGPAF is implementing a 7-year Cooperative agreement with United States Agency
for International Development USAID/Uganda to lead the implementation of
district-based project USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services
in South Western Uganda USAID RHITES SW. USAID RHITES SW activity’s goal is
to increase utilization of health services through the following key result
areas increased availability of and accessibility to health services;
improved quality of health services; increased availability of resources for
public sector health services; improved organization and management of service
delivery and increased adoption of healthy behaviors and positive child
development practices by communities in focus areas and target population
groups.
One of the key primary HIV prevention programs implemented RHITES SW is
Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS free, Mentored, and Safe DREAMS
program. The DREAMS initiative is one of the HIV Prevention programs
implemented by Ministry of Health MOH aimed at reducing new HIV Infections,
particularly among Adolescent Girls and Young Women AGYW, 15–24 years by 25%
in year one and 40% by end of year two. DREAMS is implemented through a
multisector approach involving the line Ministries that lead on gender,
health, education, and justice issues, working with other Implementing
Partners and Civil Society Organizations at community level.
Job Summary ⇒ The Data Clerk will assist the DREAMS Monitoring and
Evaluation function in the respective districts and ensure that all that, the
SOPs and updated data collection tools are available, high quality data is
collected/recorded, entered into the respective registers and online tracking
systems. The data clerk will also generate custom and standard reports as
necessary to respond to program and donor needs. The Data Clerk will report to
the Senior Strategic Information & Evaluation Officer
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Avail standard operating procedures SOPs for enrollment and provision of unique identifiers for AGYW;
⇗ File the service recipient charts at end of each working day in line with laid out standard operating procedure
⇗ Ensure no accumulation of backlogs of data un-entered in the UDTS
⇗ Work to reconcile inconsistencies in monthly data reports in collaboration with the peers group leaders
⇗ Plan and attend weekly meetings with peer group leaders at the facility and community level for each sub county assigned to ensure data in the UDTS is synchronized and updated
⇗ The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Medical/Bio-statistics/Data Science/Mathematical Statistics, Population Studies/Demography, Economic and Statistics from a reputable institution.
⇗ Knowledge of medical records management procedures
⇗ Team player with good interpersonal relationships and tolerance to socio-cultural differences.
⇗ Ability to multi-task effectively and adhere to timelines.
⇗ Experience in handling, collecting, collating and managing numerical data
