Job Summary ⇒ The Procurement Officer is responsible for carrying out
planning, execution and implementation of the procurement function of the
institution in strict compliance with relevant laws and regulations, policy
and guidelines. .
Key Duties and Responsibilities ⇒
⇗ Prepare tender documents and manage the tendering process within the established guidelines of the institution.
⇗ Implement appropriate sourcing strategies to achieve value for money and to assure an adequate source of supplies and stock levels.
⇗ Ensure accurate maintenance and safe storage of records for all procurement activities.
⇗ Spearhead the development of the solicitation documents.
⇗ Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience ⇒
⇗ Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supplies or other relevant internationally recognized procurement professional body is an essential requirement.
⇗ Procurement experience in a public organization is an added advantage.
⇗ Computer literacy.
⇗ Self driven person with well-developed oral, written and communication skills.
